SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Augustana Volleyball (7-2, 0-1) falls to the second ranked Mustangs of Southwest Minnesota State (8-1, 1-0) in four-sets, 22-25, 25-23, 18-25,15-25, in their Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference home opener Thursday night.
The Vikings were led by senior,
Sydney Hunsley who had eight kills and two blocks in the match. Following suite was junior
Kelsey Kaufmann who had seven kills and one block in the match.
Ashley Wilson returned to the court tonight against SMSU and finished third on the team in kills with six and second in total blocks with two. The team combined for 41 kills and a hitting percentage of .118.

Anna Sykora lead Augustana in assists with 19 followed by senior
Marissa Johnson and sophomore
Alex Banker who had 10 and six respectively.
Sophomore
Tahlyr Banks surpassed the 20 digs mark for sixth time this season, earning 26 of the team's 61 digs on the night. Johnson and junior
Ivy Pearson, each added six digs of their own.
Augustana will be back in action Saturday at 2 p.m. as they travel across the city to the University of Sioux Falls for the first event of the 2015-16 First Dakota National Bank Mayor's Cup.
