SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- No. 23 Augustana Soccer improves it's unbeaten streak to five as they defeat MSU Moorhead 2-0 on Saturday at Morstad Field. With the victory the Vikings improves its record to 5-1-1, 3-0-1 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, with the loss MSU Moorhead drops to 1-3-2, 1-3-0 in the NSIC.

Samantha Tymkowicz continues her scoring surge with her sixth goal of the season on Saturday, Tymkowicz already ties her scoring output from last season. Taylor Brownrigg picks up her first assist of the season.

In the first half, both team came out a little timid in the first 15 minutes of the match. Augustana then started to put shots on goal but MSU Moorhead Ashley Leintz made saves to keep the score locked at zero.

In the 30th minute Tymkowicz took a pass from Brownrigg, she dribbled to the top of the box and beat the goalie top left corner to give the Vikings a 1-0 lead. Augustana outshot MSU Moorhead 15-5 in the first half.

In the second half, the Vikings offense put on the pressure of the Dragons defense early but the Vikings couldn't capitalize on any chances.

With 27 seconds to go in the game Kirsten Smith scored her second goal of the season as she took a through ball pass from Meg Thacker and put one home to seal the game at 2-0.

The Vikings defense smothered the Dragons offense limiting them to two shots in the entire half. In the past five games Augustana has outscored MSU Moorhead 16-1.

The Vikings will be home tomorrow as they take on Northern State at 1 p.m.
