SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana soccer team looks to finish their regular season on a high note with a home match on Friday against Southwest Minnesota State at 3 p.m. and a road matchup against Sioux Falls on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Vikings are currently fourth in the NSIC standings after ties to St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth last weekend. Augustana brings a record of 9-4-3 (8-2-3 NSIC) into the final weekend of the regular season.
Scouting Southwest Minnesota State
Augustana will host their final regular season home game against Southwest Minnesota State on Friday at 3 p.m. at Morstad Field. The Mustangs come into the match with a record of 5-10-1 (4-8-1 NSIC), good for 12th in the NSIC. Last week the Mustangs fell to Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston.
Augustana leads the all-time series with a record of 13-4-1 over SMSU. Augustana defeated SMSU twice last season, both in Sioux Falls by scores of 1-0. The second matchup between the two was in the NSIC?quarterfinals.
