SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana soccer team is over the halfway point in their season and have found their groove. Going into the weekend the Vikings are riding a five game winning streak and have moved to second place in the NSIC standings. The Vikings are 6-3-1 (5-1-1 NSIC) having defeated MSU Moorhead and Northern State last weekend.  
 
Scouting Concordia-St. Paul
The Vikings will open the weekend on the road against Concordia-St. Paul at 7 p.m. on Oct. 7 in St. Paul, Minn. The Golden Bears enter the match with a 2-4-3 (2-1-3 NSIC) record and is 10th in the NSIC standings. Last week the Golden Bears tied Minnesota Crookston and defeated Bemidji State.
 
Augustana leads the all-time series with a 7-2-2 mark over Concordia-St. Paul. The Vikings have won the last three games between the two, including a 3-1 victory in Sioux Falls last year.
 
Scouting Minnesota State
Augustana will cap off the weekend with a 1 p.m. tilt at home against Minnesota State at Morstad Field. The Mavericks come into the match with a 5-3-1 (4-2 NSIC) and are fifth in the NSIC standings. Last week, the Mavericks fell to Bemidji State and defeated Minnesota Crookston.
 
Minnesota State leads the all-time series, 19-2 and has won the last nine meetings including twice last season.
