SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The seventh-ranked Augustana volleyball team (26-4, 17-3 NSIC) closed out the regular season Saturday afternoon with a 25-13, 25-20, 26-24 sweep of MSU Moorhead. The Vikings were led by their four seniors, who were celebrated prior to the start of today's match.
With emotions running high as senior day festivities came to an end, the Vikings were locked in from the start. Augustana got it rolling early in the first set, jumping out to a quick 5-0 lead. After a few MSU Moorhead points, the Vikings enjoyed a seven-point advantage at 10-3. The Dragons were able to put together a few spurts, but the Vikings were just too strong from the start, winning the set 25-13.
The second set was a lot closer from the start, with Augustana leading 5-2 early. MSUM scored three straight to earn their first tie of the afternoon at five. Augustana didn't let MSUM gain any momentum but also couldn't break away from the Dragons as the teams played to an 11-11 tie. After the Augustana scores three straight to make it 14-11. The Dragons would only be able to get as close as two points the rest of the way as Augustana held on for a 25-20 set two victories.
The Vikings had a battle on their hands with each team want the set win. The Vikings and Dragons traded points to a 9-9 tie before Augustana scored two straight to make 11-9. A few points later though we were tied once again. MSU Moorhead looked as though they were going to get a set win after scoring five straight points, taking a 19-16 lead. Augustana was not going to be denied the sweep on senior day eight of the final 12 points. The Vikings took the set 26-24 and the match 3-0.

Anna Sykora had a match-high 52 assists,
Kelsey Kaufmann tied a season-high with 12 kills,
Brittany Cech posted her ninth double-double of the season with 11 kills and 10 digs and
Dani Magdzas had a season-high 10 kills.
