MINOT, N.D. – The No. 7 Augustana volleyball (24-4, 15-3 NSIC) concluded their regular season road schedule Saturday with a 25-22, 25-16, 25-18 sweep of Minot State.
 
For much of the first set, Minot State was the aggressor, backing the Vikings into an unfamiliar corner early. After Augustana scored the first point of the match, Minot State went on a 6-2 run. The Vikings were able to tie it at six, but the Beavers again went on a run and eventually led 12-8. After the Vikings were able to tie the set on four different occasions, the Beavers looked as though they were ready to take control, building a 20-17 lead. Augustana though flipped a switch and went on a 7-0 run to take a 24-20 lead. Minot scored twice but it wasn't enough as the Vikings fought back for a 25-22 set win.
 
The Vikings opened the second set with four straight points but the Beavers were able to match that with four of their own. After Minot State took an 8-7 lead the tables began to turn in the favor of Augustana as they scored 11 of the next 15 points to take an 18-11 lead. Augustana only allowed MSU to score 16 points as they cruised to a 25-16 set win.
 
In the third and final set, the Vikings again scored first with three straight points before Minot got on the board. The Vikings were locked in from the start of the set, not allowing Minot State to string any points together and before the Beavers knew it, they were trailing 15-8. Augustana went on to win the set 25-18 and the match 3-0.

Courtney Place was tied for the match-high in kills with 13 on 26 swings for a hitting percentage of .346. Place added three assists and five digs to her totals.

• Augustana improved to 9-0 all-time against Minot State. Including 4-0 when the match is played in Minot, N.D.
• This was the sixth straight meeting that Augustana has swept Minot State
• The last time Augustana won at least 24-matches in a season was back in 2000 when they won 30

• Tahlyr Banks has 542 digs and is currently two digs away from moving into seventh for the most digs in a single season. She will pass her own mark set in 2014. She is 27 digs away from moving into sixth and passing the mark she set last season

• Koch led the team with four blocks

Augustana will close out the regular season next weekend at home against Northern State on MSU Moorhead. Saturday's match against MSU Moorhead will be senior day. First serve against the Dragons is scheduled for 3 p.m.
