BEMIDJI, Minn. – The final road trip of the season ended in style for the Augustana Volleyball team on Saturday, as the Vikings capped a perfect weekend with a 3-0 sweep at Bemidji State.
 
The win propels the Vikings to a 20-7 record on the season overall, and an 11-7 mark in NSIC play, while the host Beavers fall to 3-24 overall and 0-18 in conference play.
 
The Vikings came out hot, hitting .435 as a team in the first set, all while holding the Beavers to a -.227 hitting percentage, which resulted in a 25-10 first set win, and even though things evened out more in the second set, the Vikings still led wire-to-wire for the 25-21 win in the set.
 
Bemidji State took its first lead of the match at the start of the third set, but it didn't last, as the Vikings quickly bounced back after trailing by one point a couple of times early, using a 9-1 run to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 10-3 lead, and they never looked back on the way to a 25-15 win to complete the sweep.
 
Lauren Waite led a balanced offense for the Vikings, finishing with a match-high 10 kills. She also added a pair of solo blocks. Bailey Koch finished with eight kills and Ashley Wilson seven, as 11 Vikings posted at least one kill in the match, including Tahlyr Banks, who also tallied a match-high 12 digs.
 
Augustana returns home on Friday and Saturday to close out the regular season, hosting Minnesota Duluth on Friday at 6 p.m., before closing the weekend against St. Cloud State on Saturday at 2 p.m.
