SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Augustana Vikings (0-1-1) fell to the Central Missouri Jennies (2-0-0) on Sunday afternoon, 5-0. The Jennies showcased why they are ranked fifth with four second half goals to down the Vikings.
The Vikings kept up with the Jennies for the first 40 minutes of the contest, before the Jennies struck right before halftime. In the 42nd minute, Megan Woolley nailed a shot from 20-yards out to give Central Missouri a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
Central Missouri struck early and often in the second half to put them match firmly in their hands. Abby Rhodes netted a goal in the 50th minute and Megan Woolley added another two goals in the 53rd and 54th minutes to record a hat trick on the afternoon.
Broady Mallory added the final goal for the Jennies in the 64th minute to give Central Missouri the final score of 5-0.
Central Missouri outshot Augustana 24-9 on the contest.
Taylor Machacek recorded seven saves on the match.

The Vikings will travel to Minot, N.D. next weekend for the Minot State Classic, where Augustana will take on a pair of MIAA opponents. Augustana opens the tournament against No. 14 Fort Hays State on Sept. 8 at 4 p.m. The Vikings wrap up the weekend against Emporia State on Sept. 10 at 11 a.m.
