SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Augustana track and field team will travel to Mankato, Minn. for the third time in four weeks for the Ted Nelson Classic on Saturday, Feb. 3.
Field events will kick the meet off at 11 a.m. on Saturday and running events are set to begin at noon. All events will be contested at the Myers Field House.
Last Meet
Last weekend at the MSU Open in Mankato, Minn. Augustana had three student-athletes hit provisionally qualifying marks and another school record fall.
Callie DeWitt lowered her own school record in the 60-meter dash in the preliminaries and semifinals of the race with a time of 7.70 and took fourth in the finals.
Anthony Huber and
Paul Meloche each each provisionally qualifying marks. Huber won the shot put with a personal best mark of 16.84-meters. Meloche took second in the 60-meter hurdle finals with a personal best time of 8.14.
Other top finishers at the MSU Open were
Josh Barrows,
Valerie Gildemaster and
Carly Rahn. Barrows took first in the 800-meters and his time converted to the 10th best time in Division II and is a provisionally qualifying mark. Gildemaster won the 400-meters with a season's best time of 58.19. Rahn took first in her first collegiate 800-meters race.

- Josh Barrows: 800-meters (1:51.79/MSU Open - 10th in DII)
- Valerie Gildemaster: 60-meter hurdles (8.77/DII Invitational - 21st in DII)
- Anthony Huber: Shot Put (16.64m/MSU Open - 24th in DII) and Weight Throw (17.89m/Mankato Alumni Invite - 33rd in DII)
- Paul Meloche: 60-meter hurdles (8.14/MSU Open - 20th in DII)
Next Time Out
Augustana will make a third appearance in Brookings, S.D. for the SDSU Classic on Feb. 9 and 10. Also next week will be the first leg of the NSIC Indoor Championships with the NSIC Multi-Events in Mankato, Minn. on Feb. 11 and 12.
