BUNRSVILLE, Minn. -- Sophomore goalkeeper Claudia Pueschner and senior defender Morgan Moe have been the backbones of an unbreakable Viking's defense this season. For their efforts last weekend, Pueschner was named NSIC Goalkeeper of the Week while Moe was named NSIC Defensive Player of the Week. 

The 9-1-1 Vikings have posted seven consecutive shutouts, eight on the season, and have not allowed a goal in over 737 minutes of game time. The last goal given up by the first-place Vikings was against Southwest Minnesota State on Sept. 20 in the 11th minute of the game. 

Moe and Pueschner have been on the field for the entirety of the shutout streak. Moe has played all 1,018 minutes this season while Pueschner has played just 45 minutes less than Moe. 

Pueschner made 14 saves on the weekend against Winona State and Upper Iowa and is atop the NSIC in many goalkeeping categories. She is fourth in average goals allowed per game (.555), second in saves (60), second in save percentage (.909), and first in shutouts (8). 

In addition to playing every minute this season, Moe has tallied five shots, two shots on goal, a game-winning goal, and an assist. 

The two athletes will look to continue strong defensive campaign's this weekend at home against Northern State at 4 p.m. on Friday and MSU Moorhead at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
