CLEVELAND – The Augustana Vikings are in sixth place of the final Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup fall standings announced Tuesday.
 
Augustana has tallied 222 points through fall sports and is the highest-ranked NSIC institution. The Vikings compiled points from teams advancing to NCAA postseason action with 73.5 points coming from each men's and women's cross country. Both programs placed sixth at the national cross country meet. Women's soccer garnered 50 points after advancing to the second round of NCAA Tournament while the football team earned 25 points after qualifying for the NCAA playoffs for the first time since 2015.
 
Colorado School of Mines leads directors' cup standings with 416 points while positions 2-7 are all between 201 and 299 points. Minnesota State is the second-highest NSIC school, ranked 19^th with 163 points.
 
The Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
 
The winter standings will begin distribution on March 12.
