LAS VEGAS, NV. -- For the second time in just three days, the Augustana men's golf team will tee off in the city of lights. Starting Tuesday morning, the Vikings will compete in the Warrior Invite at the Stallion Mountain Golf Course in Las Vegas.
Stallion Mountain features a 7,120-yard layout, designed by PGA Tour legend Jim Colbert and golf course architect Jeff Brauer.
Augustana opened up the 2019 spring season last Friday in Las Vegas, finishing in 8th place at the Minot Junior Golf Association Collegiate Invitational. The Vikings shot a day-one 334, a day-two 320, and finished +34 for the tournament.
Individually,
Cole Crawford brought home the best finish the Vikings, ending the invite tied for 25th. Crawford shot back-to-back rounds of 80, before finishing with a 77 in round three. Other strong finishers for the Vikings included
Sam Sutcliffe, who tied for 36th overall. Sutcliffe also shot a final-round 77 and moved up five spots in his final round.
The Vikings next action is set for the Upper Iowa invite, March 30-31 in Waterloo, Iowa.
