ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Augustana men's and women's tennis teams dropped a pair of matches to Embry Riddle on Wednesday afternoon. The women suffered their first loss of the season with a 5-2 defeat while the men drop to 5-7 after dropping to Embry Riddle 7-0.

Women
The Vikings (13-1, 9-0 NSIC) saw their 13 match win-streak fall to the hands of Embry Riddle on Wednesday afternoon. Augustana collected one doubles win and two singles win in the loss.

Starting in doubles play, Kornelia Staniszewska teamed up with Laura Arce Vieyra to take down Itxaso Blanco and Jillian Hobbs 6-4 for their 12th win of the season.

Over in singles action, Staniszewska took on Blanco in No. 1 Singles on Wednesday afternoon and took home the 7-6 (7-2), 4-6, 13-11 victory for the Vikings. The victory extended her win streak to 30 matches. Arce Vieyra competed against Roberta Krvajica in No. 2 Doubles action and came away with the 6-0, 6-3 win on Wednesday.

Men
The men after getting back into the win column the day before, fell to No. 18 Embry Riddle on Wednesday afternoon.

The Vikings weren't able to pick up a win in No. 1 or No. 2 Double but were able to pick one up in No. 3 Doubles. North Knewtson and senior Austin VanDerWeide defeated Blake Rhoweder and Tim Loerwink 7-5 to pick up their eighth win of the season.

Augustana wasn't able to pick up a win in singles play against Embry Riddle on Wednesday.
