ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Augustana men's tennis team finished up their spring trip in Florida with a 4-3 win over Millersville on Thursday afternoon. The win brings them to 6-7 on the season. The Vikings were able to earn the doubles point and three singles wins.

Starting in doubles action, Logan Barr and Joe Sawatzke teamed up to take down Carlos Martinez-Luca and Peter Landis 6-2 in No. 1 Doubles and Eden Mrozek and Frank Kelly defeated Frank Yanni and Ben Fellman 7-5. No. 3 Doubles consisted of North Knewtson and Austin VanDerWeide. The duo took down Jose Alcazar and Rodrigo Lorencin 6-2 to gain their ninth win of the season.

Over in singles play, after failing to pick up a win in the first three matches, Sawatzke got the Vikings on the board with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Alcazar in No. 4 Singles. In No. 5 Singles, Knewtson took care of business picking up the 6-2, 6-4 win over Lorencin and Kelly picked up the 6-4, 6-2 win over Pearson Clary to improve to  5-7 on the season.

The Vikings went 2-3 over the course of the Florida trip and will be back in action on Saturday, March 23 when Augustana travels to Topeka, Kan. to take on Washburn at 12 p.m. The Vikings will then travel to Emporia, Kan. to take on Emporia State on Sunday, March 24.
