BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- Following an outstanding end to their 12-game road trip in Florida, Augustana softball junior pitcher Olivia Wolters has been named the Northern Sun Conference Pitcher of the Week. It's the first career conference honor for the Minnesota native.

Wolters was brilliant from the circle in her last three outings, making two starts and allowing 0 runs in 12 innings of action. She tossed two complete-game shutouts and held the opposition to just 5-of-40 (.125) from the plate. 

The junior also kept hitters off balance with 16 strikeouts in 12 innings, including a nine-strikeout performance again Lock Haven (PA). The nine strikeouts marked one off her career high. 

Thanks to her performance in the circle and a stout offensive production from the lineup, Wolters moved to 5-0 this season for the Vikings. 

In 41.2 innings this season, Wolters has allowed just nine runs. She stands 8th in the NSIC with a 1.51 era.  

Wolters and the Vikings return to action this weekend as they'll take on five opponents in the Missouri Western Tournament. Augustana opens action on Friday, March 22, in St. Joseph, Missouri.
