EMPORIA, Kan. -- The Augustana men's tennis team fell 7-0 to Emporia State at the EHS Courts in Emporia, Kan. on Sunday afternoon.

The Vikings fall to 6-9 with Sunday's loss to the Hornets. Emporia State improves to 6-4 with the win.

In doubles action, North Knewtson and Austin VanDerWeide fought hard in No. 3 Doubles but would fall 6-4 in the end. Augustana fought hard in singles action but lost some crucial points which led to losing all six singles matches. The Vikings weren't able to pick up the doubles point as well after three hard-fought doubles matches. The doubles matches only account for one total point in team scoring.

The Vikings are back in action on Friday in Grand Forks, N.D. against Concordia-Moorhead at 2:30 p.m. and then will finish up the day's action against North Dakota at 6 p.m.
