LAS VEGAS, NV. -- Opening up the 2019 spring season in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Augustana men's golf team finished in 8th place at the 5th annual Minot Junior Golf Association Collegiate Invitational. The Vikings shot a day-one 334, a day-two 320, and finished +34 for the tournament.

Individually, Cole Crawford brought home the best finish the Vikings, ending the invite tied for 25th. Crawford shot back-to-back rounds of 80, before finishing with a 77 in round three. Overall, Crawford shot +21 on the weekend.

Other strong finishers for the Vikings included Sam Sutcliffe, who tied for 36th overall. Sutcliffe also shot a final-round 77 and moved up five spots in his final round.

Jacob Lee (T38th, +31), Alex Stanz (41st, +32) and Hunter Von Bergen (52nd, +45) also competed for the Vikings this weekend.

Westminster College (UT) one the event at +3. Individually, Westminster's Logan Skalka shot -4 on day-two and won the event with a three-round 217 (+1).

The Vikings have a short turnaround, as they'll now compete next week at the Warriors Invite. The event, which is hosted by Winona State, will also be played in Las Vegas and start on Monday.
