BOONE, Iowa -- The No. 20 Augustana baseball team (24-10, 17-3 NSIC) took the first game of a three-game set against Concordia St. Paul (17-16, 8-13 NSIC) on Saturday with a 5-1 victory.
The Vikings received a phenomenal pitching performance from junior transfer

During the first four and a half innings, the Vikings grabbed a 4-0 lead with help from a two-RBI single to right field by
Will Olson in the third inning for his 29th and 30th RBI of the season. Augustana put up a run in both the fourth and fifth innings with
Bjorn Hanson driving in his second RBI of the season in the fourth inning.
Concordia St. Paul got on the board in the seventh inning, but Augustana returned the favor in the top of the eighth as
Lucas Wylie scored on a wild pitch to keep a four-run lead at 5-1. Steffens completed his dominant performance forcing the Golden Bears to go one-two-three in the ninth.
The Vikings and Concordia St. Paul return to action tomorrow to complete their weekend series in a doubleheader starting at noon.
