Denver, Colo. - Completing their relentless pursuit, Augustana Softball claimed the 2019 National Championship on Monday, the second national championship in program history.  The Vikings defeated Texas A&M-Kingsville 6-4 in games two and three of the Championship Series Monday, finishing their season at 61-11, tied for the most wins in program history. 

Augustana is scheduled to fly home Tuesday and arrive in Sioux Falls in the afternoon around 1 p.m.  Fans are encouraged to gather outside the Elmen Center in the drop-off circle to welcome to the team home at approximately 1:30 p.m.

This Wednesday, Augustana University will be hosting a Champions Celebration at the Hall Forum in the Elmen Center, starting at 5:30 p.m.  The event will feature the championship team & coaches, hot dogs & popcorn served by Sodexo, championship t-shirts for sale from the Augustana Bookstore, championship autograph card & autographs from the team, an opportunity to take your picture with the championship trophy, and Coca-Cola products and water provided by Coca-Cola. The event is free and all fans are encouraged to attend.
