SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- With the 2019-20 Augustana Athletic calendar quickly approaching, Augustana University is pleased to announce Emily Punt as the new Director of Athletics Annual Giving. Emily first day is officially June 24, 2019.

Punt, a South Dakota native, is thrilled to be joining the athletic staff at Augustana.

"I am so grateful to Josh Morton for this opportunity," Punt said. "I look forward to building great relationships with all A-Club members, sponsors, and donors as we continue to grow community and alumni involvement in the future of Augustana Athletics."

Augustana Athletic Director Josh Morton is looking forward to having Emily on the Viking team.

"Our fans and donors will enjoy working with Emily as we continue to grow the A-Club and its impact on our student-athletes," said Morton.  "Her role is vital because it's tied directly to the three cornerstones of our department; enhance the student-athlete experience, be active and engage with the Augustana and Sioux Falls community and win with integrity."

Punt comes to Augustana from First Dakota National Bank where she served as a Marketing Coordinator. From 2016-18, Punt was the Premium Seat Manager at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls.

Punt oversaw all ticketing and event services while helping the PREMIER Center break countless records for ticket sales. In 2017, total venue attendance topped 709,000, which ranked 44th in the United States and 88th in the world for concerts.

Emily graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and a minor in Sports Business. During her time on campus, Punt interned for the UND Marketing Department and was the President of the UND Sport Business Student Association.

Punt is originally from Warner, S.D. and currently live in Sioux Falls.
