BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- Sophomore Jacob Lee has been tabbed as the Augustana Preseason Golfer to Watch while the men's team has been picked to finish ninth in the NSIC preseason coaches' poll. Winona State was picked to win the conference with 77 points and six first place votes, the conference announced Wednesday.

The Vikings wrapped up last season with an eighth-place finish at the NSIC Championships. It was one of their five top-ten finishes on the year. The Vikings top finish was second place at the Augustana Invitational. Augustana features a young squad of one freshman, four sophomores, one junior, and three seniors for the 2019-20 season. 

For the second-straight year, Jacob Lee was named the Preseason Vikings Golfer to Watch. The now-sophomore led the Vikings with an average of 77.5 strokes per round and shot his season-low round of 68 at the Mules National Golf Club. Notable finishes for Lee took place at the Augustana Invitational (fourth place) and the NSIC Championships (16th place).

The Vikings begin their season in Lake City, Minnesota, at the Jr. Watkins Invitational on Sept. 6. 

The three-round NSIC Men's Golf Championship will take place this spring on April 17-19 at Shoal Creek Golf Course in Kansas City, Missouri.
