Men’s Golf Wraps Up Jr. Watkins Invitational

LAKE CITY, Minn. -- The Augustana men's golf team finished its second and final round Saturday at the Jr. Watkins Invitational led by senior Cole Crawford and sophomore Jacob Lee
 
The two golfers finished in a tie for 52nd place with 156 strokes in the event taking place at The Jewel Golf Club in Lake City, Minnesota. Crawford shaved 10 strokes off his first-round score to shoot a 1-over-par 73 in Saturday's final round. Lee improved by four strokes on day two with a 76 through the second tour. 

Sophomore Alex Stanz followed closely behind for the Vikings with a two-round score of 157 which tied him for 55th place. Sophomores Sam Sutcliffe and Hunter Von Bergen earned two-round scores of 163 and 165, respectively. 

As a team, the Vikings finished in 13th place with a two-round total of 626. The Vikings did improve on day two by 18 strokes, going from 322 to 304. Host Winona State took home first-place honors with an overall score of 568.

Freshman Spencer Ehlers made his golf debut for the Vikings and finished with a two-round score of 161, while Junior Sam Mock finished with a score of 165.
