SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana women's tennis team continued its winning ways Sunday with a 6-0 win over Upper Iowa inside the GreatLIFE Woodlake Athletic Club.

The doubles point was earned thanks to a 6-1 victory by
Laura Arce Vieyra and
Grace Goble at No. 1 doubles, and a 6-0 win by
Aleksandra Kistanova and
Emily Granson at No. 2 doubles.

Playing in the No. 1 singles slot for the first time, Kistanova earned a 6-2, 6-1, win over Deimante Krivickaite. Granson claimed victory with scores of 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4 singles while
Rebecca Falkner earned a 6-2, 6-0, win at No. 5 singles.
Taylor Jackson and
Anca Rusu were also victorious and were leading their matches at which point they won by opponent retirement.

"We've been playing really good singles," head coach
Marc Kurtz said. "That has really carried over throughout the matches. We have to keep working at our doubles. We are showing some good things at doubles and had a decent week of practice this week.

"The goal is to keep getting better each day and hopefully by the end of the year we are playing our best."

Augustana, 7-0 on the season and 4-0 in NSIC play, continues league action Saturday and Sunday facing Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State, respectfully. The matches are taking place in Sartell, Minnesota.
