SARTELL, MINN. -- The Augustana women's tennis team topped Minnesota Duluth 7-0 Saturday night, pushing its matches-won streak to 115 straight duals.
The doubles point was earned with the help from sophomore Laura Arce Vieyra and junior Grace Goble winning No. 1 doubles 6-3. Both No. 2 and No. 3 doubles came away with wins as well. Freshman sensations Emily Granson and Aleksandra Kistanova won 6-0. Closing out doubles competition was senior Anca Rusu and senior Taylor Jackson also scoring 6-0 in No. 3 doubles.
Augustana claimed victories in all six of the singles matches. Arce Vieyra set the tone for the Vikings taking the win in No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-0. Granson remains undefeated on the year improving to 6-0 with her 6-1, 6-1 victory. Two teammates joined Granson with an unblemished mark in 2020 with Kistanova (6-4, 6-3) and Jackson (6-2, 6-0) also claiming victories.
Grace Goble (6-2, 6-1) and Anca Rusu (6-2, 6-0) were also among the Viking winners on the day in singles.
The Vikings return to action Sunday morning at 9 a.m. facing St. Cloud State in Sartell, Minnesota.
