SARTELL, MINN. -- The Augustana women's tennis team defeated St. Cloud State 7-0 Sunday morning. The Vikings remain undefeated in NSIC action at 6-0 and are now 9-0 on the season.Â
All three rounds of doubles saw Viking victories. Sophomore Laura Arce Vieyra and junior Grace Goble won their match 6-1.The senior duo of Taylor Jackson and Anca Rusu bested their opponents with a score of 6-0. Likewise, the freshmen duo of Aleksandra Kistanova and Emily Granson came away with a 6-1 win to complete the sweep in doubles. Â
Augustana stayed in familiar territory coming away with victories in all six of the singles matches. Three singles competitions resulted in 6-0, 6-0, wins coming from Arce Vieyra, Jackson, and Granson in the No. 1, No. 4, and No. 5 slots, respectively. Also coming away with wins were Goble, Kistanova, and Rusu.
The Viking trio of Granson, Kistanova, and Jackson still remain undefeated in singles action this year.
