SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – It was business as usual for the Augustana women's tennis team in the 2020 NSIC opener. The Vikings won 4-0 over Minnesota Crookston, the 111
th-straight NSIC dual victory for Augustana, Saturday night at GreatLIFE Woodlake Athletic Club.
The Vikings took the doubles point with a pair of 6-0 wins, first from
Taylor Jackson and
Anca Rusu in No. 1 doubles then by
Emily Granson and
Rebecca Falkner in No. 2 doubles.
Playing No. 1 singles for the first time in her career, Goble claimed a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Granson and Falkner both claimed 6-0, 6-0 wins in No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectfully.
Anca Rusu was slated to play No. 4 singles but did not see action with the match sealed at 4-0.
Augustana, 4-0 on the year and 1-0 in NSIC action, continues play at home on Sunday. The Vikings host Bemidji State at 9 a.m. at GreatLIFE Woodlake Athletic Club.
