BEMIDJI, MINN.--The Augustana soccer team fell to the No. 13 Bemidji State Beavers on Friday night in a hard-fought NSIC contest. The Beavers edged out the Vikings 2-0. The overall record for the Vikings moves to 3-3-2 overall and 2-1-2 in NSIC play. Bemidji State's record becomes 7-0-1 on the season and 4-0-1 in NSIC conference action.
Bemidji State struck early on a corner kick in the fifth minute of play. Rounding out the end of the first half was another Bemidji State goal during the 43rd minute.
Augustana tallied a total of 12 shots, five of those shots being on goal. Five players on Augustana had at least one shot on goal each. Josie Arduser, Bailey McCullough and Morgan Keirstead each recorded two shots on the day.
Sophomore goalkeeper Jillian Barkus started in goal for the Vikings, facing seven shots while making five saves.
