ST. JOSEPH, Mo.--The Augustana men's golf team traveled to St. Joseph, Missouri, on Monday and Tuesday to compete in the MWSU Holiday Inn Invitational. The team tied for 14th out of 16 teams competing in the tournament. The tournament consisted of 36 holes and the par for the course was 71.
Hunter Von Bergen led the team with a score of 153. The tournament marks the second time this season that Von Bergen has placed the highest for Augustana. Alex Stanz followed Von Bergen with 157 strokes.
Will Allen tied for 71st place along with teammate Sam Sutcliffe. Allen and Sutcliffe both tallied scores of 159 strokes.
Jacob Lee rounded out the five-man team for the Vikings, finishing 79th in the competition. Lee recorded 81 strokes on both days and totaled 162 strokes.
