BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Augustana linebacker T.J. Liggett has been named the NSIC Defensive Player of the Week the conference announced Monday.
 
Liggett, hailing from Rosemount, Minnesota, totaled 12 tackles in the Vikings' win over No. 23 Wayne State. Of those 12 tackles, 10 were solo and two of them were tackles for loss. He was also credited with a pass breakup in the contest.
 
Augustana, who played the game ranked No. 22 in the nation, topped a ranked opponent for the first time since 2015.
 
The Vikings remain on the road this coming Saturday for a game at Minnesota State. Kickoff from Mankato, Minnesota, is slated for 1 p.m.
