INDIANAPOLIS – The Augustana soccer team checked in at No. 8 in the initial region rankings announced by the NCAA on Wednesday.
 
Augustana holds a 10-3-2 record on the season, a mark that matches its in-region record.
 
The Vikings, winners of seven-straight wins, are joined by three other NSIC schools with Bemidji State at No. 3, Minnesota State No. 4 and Northern State No. 9.
 
Augustana plays its regular season home finale on Friday hosting Upper Iowa at 3 p.m. The Vikings then close out the regular season with a pair of road games, first at Winona State on Sunday and at Wayne State on Friday, Nov. 5.
 
The NSIC Tournament is slated to begin on Nov. 10 with the top-four seeds playing host.
