SIOUX FALLS, S.D.-- Augustana soccer battles No. 25 Minnesota State in the semifinals of the NSIC Tournament on Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. and the winner will advance to the NSIC championship. The remainder of the NSIC Tournament will be played in Bemidji, Minnesota.

The Game
Augustana, seeded No. 2 in the tournament, defeated St. Cloud State in the quarterfinals to advance in the tournament. The victory marked the 11th-straight for the Vikings and their overall record improved to 14-3-2.
Minnesota State, seeded No. 3 in the tournament, holds a record of 15-2-2 overall. The Mavericks edged out UMary in the quarterfinal to advance to the semifinal against Augustana.
Previously, Augustana and MSU met on September 19 with Augustana capturing a 1-0 victory.
The Mavericks
Minnesota State has recorded one conference loss this year and it was to the Augustana Vikings. The Mavericks have recorded 43 goals this season while holding their opponents to 10. MSU averages 2.26 goals per game.
Junior Jenny Vetter leads her team in goals with 16. Vetter netted four goals in the Maverick's game against Upper Iowa. She has recorded at least one shot on goal in 18 of 19 games played this season.
There are three goalkeepers that have seen the field for Minnesota State in Ava Blackney, Claire Longueville and Mackenzie Rath. Rath has played in 13 games for the Mavericks and holds a save percentage of .931. The goalkeeping trio has faced 330 shots.
The Vikings
Augustana tallied its 11th-straight victory on Wednesday in the quarterfinal game against St. Cloud State. The team holds the program record for most consecutive wins in a season. Goals from Alexis Legg and Morgan Keirstead pushed the Vikings past the Huskies and on to Bemidji for the NSIC Tournament.
Junior Sylvia Fehr, the team leader in assists with 15, added two more assists to her season statistics with an assist on both goals in the St. Cloud State game.
Augustana has two goalkeepers in sophomore Jillian Barkus and senior Meghan Kuntz. Barkus has started in 18 of the 19 games that AU has played and has a save percentage of 0.847.
