BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Augustana's
Kendall Cornick has been named the NSIC Player of the Week. Cornick helped the Viking softball program to four wins on its opening weekend including a pair of victories over nationally-ranked opponents.

Cornick, hailing from Mason City, Iowa, hit .429 and totaled three home runs, nine RBI and seven runs scored. The home runs, RBI and runs scored are all team highs.

In the win over St. Mary's on Saturday, Cornick set a school record with seven RBI in a single game. The runs batted in came from two home runs and two doubles in the contest.

She also helped the Vikings top No. 7 Texas A&M – Commerce and No. 4 UT Tyler with a run scored in each contest.

Augustana returns to action March 19 and 20 at the Missouri Western Classic.
