3/28/2021 8:15:00 PM

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- After a three week break from action, the Augustana men's golf team is returning to the golf course this week. The Vikings are set to compete in the NSIC Preview Invitational in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Event
Winona State and Bemidji State will co-host the NSIC Preview Invitational at Shoal Creek Golf Course. Golfing commences on Monday with one round of 18 holes and finishes on Tuesday with another round of 18 holes. The course stretches 7,011 yards, has a course par of 71 and features three par-fives. Full course details can be found here

The Vikings
Through two events, junior Jacob Lee leads the Vikings with an average of 76.8 strokes per round. Lee earned a second-place finish in the Vikings' most recent tournament (Warrior Invitational) with a two-day score of 149 strokes. Lee came into round two of the tournament tied for eleventh place and shaved five strokes off of his day-one total to par the course and take home second-place.

As a team, the Vikings placed sixth at the Warrior Invitational. The best team round for the Vikings came in the first tournament of the year (Jackrabbit Invitational) with a second-round score of 310.

This tournament could be a great scouting event for the Vikings as they will golf at Shoal Creek just 19 days later at the NSIC Championships.
