Augustana Men’s Golf Readies For NSIC Championships

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana men's golf team competes in postseason play this weekend at the NSIC Championships in Kansas City, Missouri, at the Shoal Creek Golf Club. 

The tournament consists of three rounds with 18 holes of golf on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Golfing commences at 9 a.m. each day. 

The course, which the Vikings golfed on once during the 2021 season, spans 6,983 yards with a par of 71. Full course details can be found here. Live scoring for the event can be found on GoAugie.com/Live

The team with the lowest stroke total after the 54 holes will be the NSIC Tournament Champion and receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Regional Tournament. The five golfers with the lowest stroke total for the conference tournament will be All-Tournament Team.

Junior Jacob Lee leads the Vikings this season with an average of 77 strokes per round. The junior also owns the lowest round of the year, so far, for the Vikings with a 72 (the course par) in the second round of the Winona State Invitational. Lee's finish at the tournament propelled him to second-place honors which is also the highest individual placing this season.

As a team, Augustana saw its best round in round two of the Upper Iowa Invite with a team score of 308 strokes.
