BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Augustana's
Torri Chute has earned the NSIC Player of the Week for the second time this year the conference office announced Monday. Chute's weekly honor is the fourth-straight for an Augustana softball player.

Chute hit .571 over four wins for Augustana including a sweep over No. 20 Winona State. She recorded eight hits in 14 at-bats along with tallying nine RBI and five runs scored.

In the Vikings' game one win over WSU, Chute was 2-for-3 with five RBI. The next day at Upper Iowa, she was 3-for-4 in game one with three runs scored and three RBI.

Of her eight hits, Chute totaled three for extra bases with two doubles and a home run.

The No. 1 ranked Vikings, and NSIC Champions, begin NSIC Tournament action on Thursday at 2 p.m. The tournament takes place in Rochester, Minnesota.
