BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Augustana's Kendall Cornick has been named the NSIC Player of the Week after batting .750 for the No. 1 ranked Vikings on a 4-0 weekend. This marks the second time this season she has been named the league's player of the week.
 
Hailing from Mason City, Iowa, Cornick was 9-for-12 at the plate while AU topped Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston. She scored nine runs, hit two home runs and tallied five RBI. Her slugging percentage over the four games was at 1.250 while she swiped five bases.
 
Cornick leads the NSIC in batting average (.496), slugging percentage (.783), on-base percentage (.560), hits (57) and stolen bases (29). She is also second in the league in runs scored and doubles while sitting third in total bases.
 
Augustana, 36-4 on the season and 24-2 in the NSIC, closes the regular season at Winona State on Saturday and Upper Iowa on Sunday. Both games are slated for a noon start.
