McKnight Earns CoSIDA All-District First Team Honors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Augustana soccer senior Shannon McKnight has been named to the CoSIDA All-District First Team the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Thursday afternoon.

McKnight, a native of Farmington, Minnesota, graduated from Augustana this past May with a biology major while holding an impressive 3.95 GPA. She has also earned NSIC All-Academic honors three times in her career at Augustana and as a senior garnered Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction honors.

On the field, McKnight has been a staple to the Vikings defense. She logged over 1,000 minutes played in both 2018 and 2019 while playing in every game, contributing to a combined 21 shutouts between the two seasons.

The 2020-21 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

First Team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early July.
