RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Augustana men's golf team completed its three-round Hardrocker Invite Tuesday with a seventh-place finish at The Golf Club at Red Rocks in Rapid City, South Dakota.
 
The Vikings tallied rounds of 316-303-320 to finish +75 and in seventh position. Westminster College (Utah) claimed the team title at +25 with 889 strokes.
 
A pair of Vikings tied for 21^st position in Sam Sutcliffe and Will Allen. Sutcliffe opened with a 3-over-par 75 and conclude with 235 strokes over the three days. Allen's best round came in the second where he tallied 76 shots.
 
Alex Stanz tied for 29^th with 237 shots while Cullen Johnson and Hunter Von Bergen played in ties for 31^st and 33^rd, respectively. Johnson recorded 239 shots while Von Bergen ended the three rounds with 240 strokes. Johnson's second round 2-over-par 74 was the best round by a Viking at the event.
 
In addition to the team scorers, Jordan Slagle and Spencer Wittstruck competed as individuals. Slagle totaled 239 strokes to also tie for 31^st while Wittstruck placed in a tie for 52^nd.
 
The Vikings are back in action Sunday and Monday at the UMary Invite taking place at Hawktree Golf Course in Bismarck, North Dakota.
