Four Vikings Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana soccer team had four of its members named to the CSC Academic All-District Team announced Thursday by the College Sports Communicators.

Morgan Keirstead, Sylvia Fehr, Josie Arduser and Kelly Kleekamp earned their spots on the team. Keirstead holds a 4.0 GPA while earning a degree in accounting. Fehr owns a 3.90 GPA while earning a degree in business administration. Arduser owns a 3.89 GPA while studying exercise science and Kleekamp owns a 4.00 GPA while earning a degree in business administration.

Morgan Keirstead

Keirstead, from Savage, Minnesota, has recorded 19 points this season, scoring seven goals and tallying five assists. She has at least one shot in 16 of 19 games played. Keirstead has tallied 24 shots on goal and 50 total shots. The all-conference honor is Keirstead's fourth all-NSIC honor after garnering first team honors in 2021 and second team honors in 2018 and 2019.

Josie Arduser

Arduser has contributed nine goals this season, leading the Vikings with 23 points after adding five assists. Arduser has made the start in 18 of 19 games that the Vikings have played this season. The Lincoln, Nebraska, native has totaled at least one shot on goal in 16 of 19 games in 2022.

Sylvia Fehr

Fehr, earning second team honors, has recorded seven goals and six assists this season, totaling 20 points. Fehr was named to the D2CCA all-region second team for her performance on the field this season. The senior became the Augustana soccer career assists leader after adding her 20th career assist on Arduser's goal in AU's 4-3 win over MSU Moorhead. Fehr totaled 15 assists last season, a single season record, and four assists in 2019, to enter 2022 tied for the career record at 19. She surpassed Stephanie Goos who played for the Vikings from 2007-10.

Kelly Kleekamp

Kleekamp has started all 12 matches she has played in during the 2022 season. She has five points after scoring a goal against Sioux Falls and adding three assists. She had a season high shots (5) and shots on goal (3) against MSU Moorhead. In her career, Kleekamp has started in 34 of 48 matches played with nine points on three goals and three assists from her center midfielder position. Kleekamp was also named the 2022 NSIC Elite 18 Award winner for women's soccer.

The four will be placed on the CSC Academic All-America ballot with first, second and third teams announced in early December.
