SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana Director of Athletics Josh Morton has announced the promotion of Dr. Kimberly Miller to Deputy Athletics Director / Director of Compliance / Senior Woman Administrator.
 
"I am excited for Augustana athletics, for our student-athletes, and for Dr. Miller," Morton said. "She has been a leader in our department since she joined us and her new title and enhanced role reflects that leadership to help us continue our competitive excellence, distinction in the classroom, and service to community."
 
Dr. Miller joined the Augustana athletics department in January of 2021 as an associate athletics director and now moves to the second-in-command position. She serves as the director of compliance for the department, has proven herself as a leader for student-athlete welfare and is the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) advisor.
 
In her enhanced role of the department, she'll assist with the overall management of the department, supervision and an even larger leadership role.
 
A veteran of 20 years in intercollegiate athletics, Miller is a graduate of Winston-Salem State with a degree in sport management. She obtained her Master of Science from High Point in Sport Studies. She received her Doctor of Philosophy in Education from Northcentral University with a specialization in sport management.
