HENDERSON, Nev.--The Augustana men's golf team traveled to Henderson, Nevada, on Thursday and Friday to compete in The Legacy Invitational. Augustana paired two teams in the tournament, placing 10th and 17th. The tournament consisted of 36 holes and the par for the course was 72.
Alex Stanz was the highest finisher for Augustana, tying for 19th place. Stanz totaled 155 strokes in the tournament. Jacob Lee followed behind Stanz, finishing in a tie for 33rd with 159 total strokes.
Will Allen tied for 63rd with 165 total strokes. Tying for 66th place was Hunter Von Bergen. Von Bergen totaled 166 strokes in the tournament. Sam Sutcliffe rounded out the five-man team for Augustana, placing 90th and totaling 183 strokes.
Jordan Slage led Augustana's 17th-placing five-man team and tied for 66th place. Slagle recorded 166 total strokes. Cullen Johnson and Spencer Wittstruck scored only one stroke apart, with Johnson totaling 167 and Wittstruck totaling 168.
Zach Stanz tied for 72nd and logged 170 strokes. Gavin Hibbert finished the tournament with 189 strokes in 90th place.
The Vikings hit the links in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Tuesday and Wednesday for the RMC Intercollegiate at Reflection Bay Golf Club. Action can be followed at GoAugie.com/Live.
