HENDERSON, Nev.--Augustana men's golf completed the RMC Intercollegiate on Wednesday. The two-day tournament consisted of 36 holes and took place Tuesday and Wednesday. Two teams competed in the tournament for the Vikings, placing 5th and in a tie for 9th place.
Jacob Lee finished the highest for Augustana, recording his second top-ten finish of the season, placing ninth in a field of 65 golfers.
Will Allen tied for tenth place in the tournament with 149 strokes. Hunter Von Bergen finished closely behind his teammates, logging 151 strokes.
Finishing in a tie for 28th place was Alex Stanz. Stanz totaled 155 strokes. Sam Sutcliffe rounded out the first five-man team for the Vikings, placing in a tie for 55th place. Sutcliffe tallied 172 strokes.
Leading Augustana's five-man team that tied for ninth was Jordan Slagle with 156 strokes, placing in a tie for 31st. Spencer Wittstruck and Cullen Johnson notched the same total of strokes with 163, both tying for 42nd place.
Gavin Hibbert logged 165 strokes at the tournament, placing in a tie for 47th.
Rounding out Augustana's ninth-place team is Zach Stanz. Stanz recorded 169 strokes and tied for 47th place.
Augustana returns to action on March 28-29 in Blue Springs, Missouri, for the NSIC Preview Invitational.
