MARYVILLE, Mo. – The No. 16 Augustana women's tennis team completed a 2-0 weekend on the road with a win over regional foe Northwest Missouri State on Saturday. The Vikings won 4-2 in Maryville, Missouri.
The Vikings move to 13-1 on the season while the Bearcats fall to 6-4.
Augustana secured the doubles point after winning two of three matches. The No. 1 doubles team of Florientia Hadjigeorgiou and Valeriya Monko had a battle to get to the 7-5 victory. Laura Arce Vieyra and Gabriela Jancikova won in No. 2 doubles with a score of 6-4.
Aleksandra Kistanova and Emily Granson were just shy of winning in No. 3 doubles, falling 7-6.
In singles play, Monko bested No. 74 Vera Alenicheva, winning 7-6, 6-4.Â
The Vikings had three additional wins in singles play with Margarita Chouliara earning her second win back in No. 6 singles by way of 6-2, 6-4.
Hadjigeorgiou claimed No. 2 singles with a 6-2, 7-5 victory.
Arce Vierya had a 6-4, 6-4 win in No. 3 singles while Kistanova's match went unfinished.

The Vikings return to conference play hosting Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State for a weekend of matches. The match against Minnesota Crookston is slated for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday April 2, while Bemidji State's contest will be on Sunday April 3 at 9 a.m.
