SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The No. 12 Augustana softball team is back home on Thursday to host Upper Iowa in a doubleheader. The contests begin at 3 p.m. at Sherman Park.

About the Peacocks
Upper Iowa owns a 16-19 record on the season while holding a very similar win percentage in NSIC action at 6-7. Most recently, the Peacocks split with Minnesota Duluth with a 10-1 loss in game one before bouncing back and run-ruled the Bulldogs, 14-6.
 
Katie Crogan leads UIU in batting average at .505 while pounding out 14 home runs. That total ranks her second in the NSIC, behind the Vikings' Mary Pardo. Crogan leads the NSIC with 60 RBI while she reaches base in nearly 57 percent of her plate appearances.
 
In the circle, Sydney Wilcox owns the top ERA on the team at 3.82 while her 8-10 record is both the most wins and most losses. She has pitched 122.2 innings and owns 62 strikeouts.
 
About the Vikings
Augustana owns the nation's fourth-longest win streak at 13 games while recording a 32-7 ledger. Among those 32 wins is a 14-0 record in Sioux Falls, a mark that stretches to the nation's longest home winning streak at 37 games. Those wins stretched AU's NSIC mark to 14-2 after sweeps of Northern State and MSU Moorhead last weekend. In all, Augustana pounded out 64 runs over the four games while allowing just 10.
 
Every hitting in Augustana's lineup is batting .323 or better with Gracey Brink leading the way at .473. Torri Chute is just behind at .447 with her 12 doubles and nine home runs. Pardo, the NSIC leader in home runs, has knocked 18 hits over the outfield fence.
 
Amber Elliott leads the Vikings' arms with a 1.33 ERA and a 13-2 record. Ashley Mickschl is identical at 13-2 and has walked just nine hitters in 77.1 innings pitched.

Mickschl enters with 103 career wins in the circle. The Augustana school record is 104 held by Jenelle Trautmann who pitched from 2012-15. Mickschl has garnered her 103 victories in 143 appearances and 130 starts. Trautmann? She achieved her win total in 165 appearances and 143 starts
