SIOUX FALLS, S.D.-- The Augustana men's golf team will host the Augustana Invite this weekend at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The Events

The event will take place over two days and will commence on Saturday with tee times beginning at 11 a.m. On Sunday, there will be a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Augustana will be joined by golfers from Minnesota State, Sioux Falls, Dakota Wesleyan and South Dakota State. 

The Vikings

Augustana is coming off of two top-10 finishes in the last two tournaments. AU had two teams competing in the RMC Intercollegiate and placed fifth and ninth in a field of 12 teams. Jacob Lee led Augustana with a ninth place finish, recording 148 strokes in the two-day tournament. 

At the most recent tournament, the NSIC Preview Invitational, the Vikings saw a 10th place finish as a team with Will Allen leading the way to tie for 27th place with 152 strokes. 

Alex Stanz was the highest finisher for Augustana at The Legacy Invitational on March 10 and 11. The Vikings placed 10th as a team at the tournament that began their spring season. 

For the season, Stanz leads the Vikings with a 77.6 stroke average over seven events and 16 rounds. Jacob Lee is just behind at 77.9 strokes per round. Allen is third on the AU roster at 78.1 and that includes his individual medalist honors from the UMary Invite in September.
