SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Three members of the Augustana softball team earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors announced Thursday. Voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America, all three all-district honorees will move to the Academic All-America ballot.

Ashley Mickschl finds herself on the all-district team for the third time while
Gracey Brink and
Delaney Young are both first-time honorees.

Mickschl graduated with a 3.73 GPA in education and Spanish for her undergraduate degree while she maintains a 4.0 in Masters of Education. On the playing field, the Woodbury, Minnesota, native is an All-Region honoree from both the NFCA and D2CCA while holding a 21-2 record in the circle. Her WHIP of .91 and ERA of 1.24 lead the Vikings while her walks allowed per seven innings, of less than one per game, ranks her eighth in the country. Her strikeouts to walk ratio of 6.93-to-1 ranks her 13
th in the nation.

Brink is the Vikings' top hitter in terms of average at .448. Having a career-year, the catcher has belted nine home runs, ran for nine doubles and a team-best four triples. Her average places her 22
nd in the nation while her on-base percentage of .522 is 25
th in NCAA Division II. Hailing from Rapid City, South Dakota, Brink holds a 3.95 GPA while majoring in exercise science.

Young, also having a career-year, will graduate with her degree in sign language interpretation while holding a 3.66 GPA. Hailing from Cottage Grove, Minnesota, Young is batting .409 with 13 home runs and six boules. She is second on the Vikings with her 62 RBI. With just nine strikeouts on the season, she is ranked 35
th in the country as the toughest batter to strike out.
