Soccer Set for Two Game Home Stand on Morstad Field

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana soccer is set to play in their final regular season home games as it hosts Minnesota State Moorhead on Friday and Northern State on Sunday. 

Friday's game against Moorhead is scheduled for 4 p.m. while Sunday's senior day celebration is set for 1 p.m.

The Dragons 
MSUM (3-8-4, 2-5-4) comes to Sioux Falls after stunning then No. 10 Minnesota State 2-1 on its senior day affair. Senior Tabea Czech led the Dragons with a goal and an assist in the upending of the ranked opponent. Czech, hailing from Germany has seven points on the season by way of two goals and three assists. 

Joining Czech on the statistical board are seniors Madeline Etter and Ava Kieser who both have four points apiece, making them good for second and third in points on the team. Senior keeper Simone Lewald has been lights out in net for the Dragons as she ranks eighth in the nation in total saves with 89. 

MSUM's win over Mankato is the first win in program history since 1997, Moorhead's third season fielding a soccer program. 

The Wolves
NSU (6-3-5, 5-1-5) will look to spoil Augustana's senior day as it comes into Sunday's affair on a seven-game goal scoring streak. The Wolves have put on a top-class display against top opponents, knotting ties against Mankato, Duluth and Bemidji. 

Northern is led by Junior Megan Fastenau who has a team-high 12 points by way of five goals and two assists. Redshirt Sophomore Hannah Smith and Senior Calista Kocmick round out the top three with seven and six points apiece. 

The Vikings
Augustana (8-4-3, 6-3-2) comes into the weekend on a one-game winning streak after defeating Minnesota-Crookston by a score of 1-0. Grace Douglas led the weekend with two goals as she scored the game-tying goal against Bemidji and the game-winner over Crookston. 

Hope Korte leads the Vikings with six goals and three assists for 15 points. Annika Bard and Douglas round out the top three with eight points each. 

Freshman Madelyn White has been off to a stellar first season with two goals and two assists for six points. White's shots on goal percentage sits at 53-percent as she's recorded eight shots in total. 

Mackenzie Ternes has been a staple on the backend for head coach Brandon Barkus. Ternes leads all field players with 1,193 minutes while also recording three points by way of one goal and one assist.
