SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana soccer hits the road for its final regular season contest of the 2023 season as it faces Southwest Minnesota State in Marshall, Minn. Kick off against the Mustangs is set for Thursday at 5 p.m.

Complete action can be followed on GoAugie.com/Live and the GoAugie app, presented by The Original Pancake House. The app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.

A Viking win on Thursday secures home-advantage for the first round of the NSIC playoffs but any other result means Augustana needs help from other conference teams.

The Mustangs
SMSU (5-10-1, 5-7-1) enters its final game of the season after defeating MSU-Moorhead by a score of 2-0. Brooke Wetterstrom and Dare Kroeten helped the Mustangs walk away with the win.

Haley Manson holds the best percentage in the NSIC for shot accuracy with a percentage of .719, ranking fourth in the nation as well. Manson has been on a roll for the Mustangs, recording a shot on goal 1.44 times per game.

SMSU has upset a handful of teams this season in the conference as it has defeated St. Cloud State and Moorhead. It also played in a close battle to Minnesota Duluth but was handed the 2-1 loss.

The Vikings
AU (9-5-3, 7-4-2) is coming off a loss on senior day to Northern State by a score of 1-0. In recent weeks, Viking soccer has scored 12 goals in its last 6 games. Led by Hope Korte who has six goals and four assists for 16 points, Augustana is poised to make a run in the NSIC playoffs.

Annika Bard and Grace Douglas have contributed to AU's offense with 10 points apiece by way of four goals and two assists.

Jillian Barkus has continued to lead from the backfield with eight shutouts and a goals against average of .824-percent.
