Four Vikings Named to CSC All-Academic District Team

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana soccer team had four of its members named to the CSC Academic All-District Team announced Tuesday by the College Sports Communicators.

Annika Bard, Connor Ryalnce, Lily Peterson and Hope Korte earned their spots on the team. Bard holds a 3.98 while earning a degree in communications disorders. Rylance carries a 4.0 GPA while studying in Biology. Peterson captained the Vikings' while earning her degree in Psychology with a 3.6 GPA. Hope Korte led the team in points while earning her degree in Business Administration with a 3.75 GPA. 

Annika Bard

Bard, from Appleton Wisconsin was named to the NSIC all-conference first team after recording four goals and two assists for a total of 10 points. Bard tallied key goals in Augustana's wins over NSIC opponents UMary, Wayne State, Sioux Falls and MSU Moorhead. The senior midfielder has netted seven goals and three assists for 17 points in 48 career games. 

Connor Rylance 

Rylance garnered her first career honor as she was named to the all-conference second team. The sophomore defender potted one goal and tallied one assist for a total of three points in the 2023 season. The Overland Park, Kansas native played 1,220 minutes as head coach Brandon Barkus relied on her in key moments throughout the year. 

Lily Peterson

Peterson captained the Vikings to a 9-7-3 record while tallying two assists and 21 shots. The senior midfielder hailing from Sioux Falls, South Dakota played in 37 career games and started in all 19 games this season. 

Hope Korte

Korte, from Mendota Heights, Minnesota led the Vikings with seven goals and four assists for a total of 18 points. The senior forward was named to the NSIC all-conference second team. Korte ended her Viking career with 36 games played while starting in all 19 games this season.
