Michigan Tech bounces back with offensive momentum to secure win

Augustana moved to 3-3-1 in its inaugural season presented by First PREMIER Bank / PREMIER Bankcard. Michigan Tech secured its first win of the year as it moved to 1-4-3.

Tucked high up in the Upper Peninsula, Augustana opened up the game early as graduate senior Anthony Stark lasered in his first of the season and second-career goal to give AU the early 1-0 lead. MTU answered back quickly as Issac Gordon squared the game at 1-1.

The Huskies' advanced their lead to 2-1 off a two on one break led by Blaid Richartz who potted his first of the season.

The final goal of the period came late as Jack Jensen recorded his first of the season off a tic-tac-toe effort from Bohn and Troumbly.

Michigan Tech got off to a hot start in the second period as they scored its first of three five minutes into play. Kash Rasmussen tapped in one off a scrum in front of the net. The Huskies momentum continued as Gordon and Jack Works found the back of the woodwork to end 40 minutes of play with MTU leading 5-4.
